Why was Beatrice so truly a bridesmaid?

The maid of honor is one of the people most dependent on the bride during her big day, but during the royal wedding of yesterday it seemed that Princess Beatrice was rather absent in her important role.
Throughout the day Beatrice seemed to neglect her role and was often on the side of her mother, instead of Princess Eugenie, with duties such as confirming the dress of the bride before walking down the aisle, left to Prince Andrew and the best man.
While previous bridesmaids were also in charge of other royal weddings over the bridesmaids and page boys, this task was left to the 14-year-old Lady Louise Windsor, who was walking up the steps of the chapel with heavy wind.
There was a possibility for Beatrice to help her sister back when she got into the carriage for a 15-minute procession around Windsor, but again she stepped back and let her father adjust the extended train to the dress of the bride.
But instead of shifting her duty aside, Eugenie may have instructed her sister to look after their mother, Fergie, who is single and should have entered the chapel on arrival.
Her relationship with some members of the royal family, including Prince Charles and Prince Philip, was tense and the moral support for Fergie might have been more important than adjusting the bride's dress.

No car in the world: Beatrice looks relaxed, unaware that Sister Eugenie is struggling outside with the train of her dress
At the beginning of the day Beatrice and her mother walked into the church, smiling and waving in the crowd, without any care in the world how Eugenie would go up the stairs to the chapel or how the rest of the wedding party would come in contact with the church.
Lady Louise was seen as she took on the role of the bridesmaids and pagans as she tried to walk up the stairs when the wind overturned a few children.
The teenager certainly had her hands full because she had to take the children upstairs and guide them to the chapel of St George.
Eugenie had to take care of herself the whole day, and her father, Prince Andrew and the new man Jack Brooksbank, had to help her navigate her dress in and out of vehicles.

She also traveled in the car with the bridesmaids and pageboys before and after the ceremony

The two ensured that the train of the dress was laid out perfectly before they took Eugenie up the stairs

When Eugenie entered the chapel, the couple was back at hand to make sure her dress was well arranged for her walk down the aisle
While Beatrice was safely chatting with her mother and other wedding guests, Eugenie arrived in the chapel, only to have no maid to help arrange the train of her dress.
This was left to Prince Andrew and another wedding guest to help arrange the train of the custom-made Peter Pilotto dress.
The couple had done an excellent job by running down the stairs and Eugenie slipped into the chapel before the couple had to help her with the train at the entrance.
Despite performing duties outside the church, Beatrice did a moving speech with the exception of the Great Gatsby.
The eight in line on the throne said: & # 39; It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance that you might encounter four or five times in life.

Beatrice has managed to fulfill some of her duties and to read a speech during the ceremony
It seemed – or seemed like – to confront the whole external world for a moment, and then focused on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favor.
It understood you just as far as you wanted to be understood, believed in yourself as you would like to believe in yourself, and assured you that it had exactly the impression of you that you were hoping, at its best, to convey.
It was exactly at that moment that it disappeared-and I looked at an elegant young, rough neck, a year or two over thirty, whose elaborate formality of speech simply missed the absurd. Some time before he introduced himself, I had a strong impression that he was carefully selecting his words. & # 39;
The moving tribute seemed to go well with Eugenie who smiled at her beloved Jack while reading the speech.

After the ceremony, Eugenie was left to her fate when she had to step into the royal carriage

Beatrice saw the other way when her sister and Jack stepped into the carriage for the procession
After the ceremony, Eugenie then had to continue to the royal carriage to take part in the procession around the Windsor grounds.
It was again the turn of the bride's father to assist Eugenie in the carriage while Beatrice was nowhere to be seen.
However, it seemed as if Beatrice rose by the end of the day and finally realized her royal duties as she held Eugénie's train as she climbed to the Aston Martin waiting for her outside Windsor Castle.

Meghan Markle missed tradition by having no bridesmaid or adult bridesmaids.
But the mothers of the children she had appointed as bridesmaids and page boys were there to lead them to the St George's Chapel, while Givenchy's assistants made sure that her dress was perfect.
Kate Middleton had her faithful sister Pippa the whole day by her side when she married in 2011.
Pippa seemed to take the role extremely seriously and was shown all day long, looking for the bridal party, the bridesmaids and page boys and of course making sure her sister Kate looked beautiful.
Pippa filled her maid on the tee – and she continually rearranged Kate's train, held it down the aisle, and continued to be the bridesmaids and page boys shepherd after the wedding.
